Our origin story

Hey, I’m Jodie, the brand owner and designer behind Maudella.

I started Maudella because I wanted to create statement jewellery that’s so versatile and lightweight you’ll wear each piece again and again.

This isn’t jewellery to be worn once with one outfit. It’s not a dress you’re buying for a wedding and never wearing again. You’ll wear Maudella jewellery for a wedding. THEN brunch. Or dinner. Or wherever else you’re going. These aren’t pieces to leave in your jewellery box or save for only special occasions.

The meaning behind Maudella

Spiritual *and* sentimental

Maudella is all about versatility. Jewellery that can be styled in multiple ways and worn day to night or office to party. Classic, antique styles to fun, oversized designs.

The vintage-style pieces are inspired by my grandma and fond memories of leafing through her jewellery box. (I love to wear and stack my grandma’s jewellery!)

I needed a name that perfectly blends all the concepts – and so, Maudella was born from mixing ‘Maude’ and ‘Ella’.

Maude represents your love of heirloom, vintage, timeless and classic styles, while Ella represents your statement-making, fun-loving side. Two sides of the same personality, but both equally chic.

ENVIRONMENT: We’re doing what we can to minimise our impact on the environment by using 100% recycled and recyclable FSC materials for all our packaging, and partnering with Ecologi to plant a tree for every order.

THOUGHTFUL DETAILS: From meaningful symbols and precious stones to genuine hand-selected freshwater pearls, each element is carefully considered. A lot of care and attention goes into the design process, from little logo charms on every bracelet and necklace for a premium feel, to where the pin goes on every earring so each pieces hangs perfectly.
